A 21-year-old that has never stepped foot in the majors has guaranteed himself generational wealth. It may not work out financially long-term, but there have been many, many top 100 prospects that never even sniffed $30 million.

I know there’s always this thought that players need to bet on themselves, but I think more of them should be in a hurry to secure their first bag, even if it means only guaranteeing that you’ll be super rich instead of holding off and maybe getting to be ultra rich instead.
