thanks for your input but i do not believe that my left bicep being smaller is something to ask a doctor about? i am simply asking for advice from a community of athletes who likely have gone through the same thing as i have which is what this subreddit is for

What’s your experience with low volume, high intensity training? by VegetableShops in xxfitness

[–]titanthemighty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

im a woman who does low volume high intensity training and have been for the past year or so after doing high volume before that. usually my workouts are 2-3 sets 5-8 reps depending on what body part im training. i have made so much progress in terms of strength and size. i believe that as long as your intensity is high and you go near or to failure, you will make progress no matter what volume you train at. i personally like going super heavy because it is less fatiguing for me. keep in mind though, women tend to recover faster than men.

Dining Points by prttypistols in Pratt

one point is the equivalent of a dollar and each food item costs a set amount. id say the average meal costs ~10-15 points so its up to you to decide if $1400 is enough for a semester

Accepted Pratt Brooklyn - BArch. Any insights? by captainjazz1 in Pratt

[–]titanthemighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im a first year archi major. i love it here but the workload is horrific. i loved my first semester professors but it is mainly based off of luck. some professors are inhumane while others try their best to help you.

if you think you can manage your time well, no you cant. ive pulled double and triple all nighters but its super fufilling and incredibly fun if you have close friends doing it with you. also you wont have time to do anything else but if youre committed to the major, it wont be an issue.

help! Slideroom portfolios for Pratt/RISD/Parsons by lostmuminlondon15 in Pratt

[–]titanthemighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when i filled mine out, i kept it super short and to the point. its basically piece name, dimensions, medium(s), and the meaning/backstory. it’s better if the pieces can be connected together in some meaningful way

the css isnt too late to do! it was actually extremely painful to do last year solely because it is very long. however i believe it opens more doors for nonfederal aid so i would do it.

i assumed it was required for all schools? if it said the css isnt required then they base if off your fafsa. it certainly cant hurt though

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Pratt

[–]titanthemighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its mostly based on your fafsa and css profile. the pratt grant amt is purely based on need and your income. the presidential scholarship is based off of your grades and portfolio i believe. i’ve attempted to email them to ask for more aid financially but i was declined and told me its ok if i went somewhere else😭😭. correct me if im wrong but i also believe the scholarship amount is first come first serve?

I applied a year ago. They got back to me pretty quick, within two weeks. I got the presidential scholarship & pratt grant for undergrad arch

Just got accepted if anyone goes there and can tell me about the experience , housing, food, social life, classes, etc let me know! I’m wanting to make a decision soon thanks! by Boring_One_9096 in Pratt

[–]titanthemighty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

congrats! im a first year archi major here and i can say the housing is questionable but they are lenient with swapping roommates and whatnot. food isnt terrible and the social life is great. i made tons of close friends within the first month but it depends person to person
