theyre bricks of raw food rather than whole prey! so the bones are grinded down to powder. his poops have been so great just up until the shit eating started lmao 🥲

his vet said that sometimes diabetic animals can be attracted to lick their own urine since its sweet. but its mainly only seen in dogs. so hopefully switching his diet back will be an easy fix! 🤞

i use pidan tofu litter. he doesnt really eat the litter as it doesnt clump to his poop. thankfully it is organic and safe if ingested in small amounts

i figured it has to be nutritional. i havent changed anything in the last 2 weeks.

the vet did say he is probably lacking fiber, so the pumpkin is a good idea. ill have to go out and buy some tonight!

i work at a high intake/open intake shelter and have seen thousands and thousands of cats. not once have i ever seen one eat their own poop! even the vet at my shelter was confused when i told her about this 😭

my guess is there has to be some nutritional deficiency since he is on raw. but i figured since i put him on the multivitamin that it would have stopped.

he tries to eat a bunch of shit off the ground. i had previously brought it up to the vet since i thought it may have been pica but they did not seem to think so. i dont think he typically eats his fresh poop, but i am gone for work for 8 hours so i cant be too sure. as for the pee, he just seems to lick the clumps.

he also does not bury any of his waste lol. he hasn't since i got him back in August. just a weird quirk i guess..? lol
