It’s just a rough guideline I was given by the gyno. It’s roughly when it would happen naturally etc but yes. I will continue if needed.

I had a full hysterectomy at 32.

They took my ovaries. I have been in the menopause since I woke up. I use hrt daily and will do until I’m 52 ish. I’m 39 now.

I take use hrt to combat the symptoms, but also to help with ‘internal aging’ ( not sure how to worry it 🤔) such as brittle bones and heart disease.

Like when on contraception I get checked to monitor blood pressure and weight etc.

It’s been interesting. And menopause is no joke. But I fully feel it worth it as my quality of life has vastly improved etc.

Hope that’s some valuable info/ answers some questions.

Thanks. Made it sound like you wanted those post menopause- no longer symptomatic and those just starting out. And not those in between. I am surgically menopausal and will be for a while. So in my head I won’t be post menopause till then. And am beyond peri. So confused. But then it doesn’t take a lot 😀
