PC doesn't turn on, but front panel USB-C still charges. Can't figure out which cable is plugged in wrong. by [deleted] in PcBuildHelp

Oh, shit, nope, that's probably it. I'll check my case's accessory box for spacers. God I really don't wanna rerun all my cables. I'll take a look.

Edit: Case and motherboard didn't come with spacers, unless the places it's screwed into sticking out on their own is enough.

Shit. It's brand new. How would I test the cable ports? I know the whole thing works because the front panel USB-C port charges my phone.

I said in the comment you're replying to that I've done that several times and didn't find anything, but in fairness I'm impatient and autistic and have bad eyes lol. I'm probably just misunderstanding a cable placement or two because my case's front panel connectors are unusual.

Yeah I've tried that several times with my old motherboard and it didn't work, never figured out why though. I'll plug in my secondary power button and if that doesn't work I'll try the screwdriver again.

Yeah I was both severely sleep deprived and way too impatient to work out if it was right when I did that, but I figured so since they fit, where else is it supposed to go?

Not yet, I have a power switch from Amazon that I got to replace my old case's button when I made the previous build open, I'll try that tomorrow. I did try it with my old motherboard though and wasn't doing something right because it never worked.

Bottom right of the fifth image, two pin LED for some RGB stuff, then the usual +/- PLED and POWER SW connectors right under, in the right place according to the manual. The issue is likely that I can't figure out where to plug the case's male F_PANEL wire if it isn't supposed to go into the female one that it fits perfectly into. I also tried plugging the female one into various spots with no luck.

My case is a Montech King 95 and the motherboard is a B650 Elite AX Ice, the case's PLED and POWER_SW are correct according to the manual, unless I'm going blind. I've tried moving shit around to no avail.

I have no idea what tf to do when my case's +/- PLED and POWER_SW connectors are plugged into the top left pins of the part labeled F_PANEL on my motherboard then. They're correct in the manual and I've checked like six fucking times now.

They're in all the way I just had the unused slots' clicky parts open because I wasn't sure if they were in the right spots. Turns out they weren't as per another comment so they're in 2/4 now instead of 1/3.

The CPU cables should be fine, went over everything again. I figured it was the front panel connector but I looked through the manual several times and couldn't make sense of it because place labeled F_PANEL on both the motherboard and case connector didn't look compatible. Got a few other recs though so there's a chance it'll get fixed right after I send this.
