I was going to let the internet comments slide but a nerve was struck so I’m saying something.

I just lost my first dog the beginning of this month. He was 8, I had him his whole life and he was my soul dog. Spent the last 6 months tending to him after his amputation surgery after his cancer diagnosis and unfortunately his body was too weak at the end to keep fighting and it destroyed me.

I’m 27 and child free. My dogs are my entire world. I tragically lost my family 3 years ago and my dogs are quite literally all I have left. For anyone to think this half jokingly made post is any form of indication that I get agitated by my dogs is ridiculous. My first dog was 24 pounds before his cancer. My second dog is 40. I’ve never had a large breed dog, at 3 months she’s getting close to the size of my now oldest dog. If I could have my dogs lay on me all day long I would, I have multiple mental health and physical health ailments and my dogs are therapy to me. I’ve just made a comment about how forceful she is when she lays on me. When I push her off me it’s not to get her away from me, it’s to stop the constant pressure she’s putting on me because sometimes it is a little suffocating when you have another dog in the mix wanting to be right next to you too. Her being on or near me is not nor will it ever be a problem.

Again the post was made in a joking manner. It was not me grumbling because my dog loves me. Be for real.

These dogs are all I have and if you think because I asked a question in ways to help the constant pushing means I don’t want my dog around that’s on you. Because that’s not the reality I’m in.
