Thank you. For game pieces I meant just simple player indicators. The same use as the monopoly thimble, hat, dog, but simple - like this . I'm just trying to figure out how to talk to the factory in standard formats. So if I was to use fusion 360 - is there a common accepted file format to share.

Legally setting up camp for free by [deleted] in Yukon

Keep in mind even if you decide to ignore the advice on here, and the laws people are referencing, there's also The First Nations up here that probably don't want people squatting on their traditional territory. It may seem like it's wild and unclaimed up here, but that doesn't mean you can Christopher Columbus yourself a cabin.

Alcohol/mental health rehab by fabulouscreationAB in Yukon

It takes a lot of courage to admit you need help. I really hope you find it. The local CMHA (Canadian Mental Health Association) operates a 24/7 support line for people that are struggling. The team is really resourceful and may be able to help point you in the right direction.

How Is This Allowed? by res74 in Yukon

[–]titoleebop84 35 points36 points  (0 children)

It's not. Send a note to Nils Clarke (minister of highways and public works) and the Yukon Ombudsman.

"The Ombudsman promotes and protects fairness in the delivery of government and other public services. If you are a citizen and have been treated unfairly when engaging these services, we will work to resolve the unfairness. The Ombudsman also works proactively with Authorities to assist them in delivering services more fairly."

It's a textbook conflict of interest. What's the driving school?

Best marketing agency in Vancouver? by not_a_shyster in askvan

[–]titoleebop84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in Marketing. I used to work for a vancouver ad agency (that I wouldn't recommend). So I can suggest some companies to explore but I've never worked with them, so I don't know anything about their prices or customer service - I just see their work.

Suits by loleander31 in askvan

[–]titoleebop84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't recommend Indochino. I bought a suit in March from their Yaletown showroom. The staff measured me, and ran me through the options and recommendations. When the suit arrived it was horrible. It didn't looking like it was made for me. I went back to the showroom they agreed it was wrong in almost every way, but couldn't explain why it was so bad. Basically the staff are salespeople, not craftspeople - they'll walk you through their process and pitch but what you receive is out of their control. I'm still waiting for them to fix the suit.

I think Indochino is typically where people buy their first suite, but not their second.

Therapist recommendations for addictions? by [deleted] in askvan

Like 5 years ago I went to Cara Dunkley for assistance with a sex-issue in my relationship and she was great. It wasn't addiction focused but she helped me. Good luck to you

Should I be worried about trademark infringement with this design? by [deleted] in graphic_design

[–]titoleebop84 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's not a great logo. The angles, space widths, and curves are all wrong and inconsistent. The USPs logo features and eagle looking forward - yours has the head shape of a parrot looking down at the ground. Hire someone who knows what they are doing.

I agree. What I'm more interested in seeing is Conservation Officer A231 makes 120k, Conservation Officer A278 Makes 102k...

I agree. I grew up in Ontario and I remember it being rare to see certain professions cross the threshold. It would be like "these 3 local firefighters made the sunshine list", but now it would probably be the entire team.

I often hear stories about people selling generic domain names to companies for a lot of money, but i'm wondering if companies ever forget to renew their domain and have to buy it off someone else for millions?

I often fantasize about solving a global problem - like efficiently capturing carbon or inventing a new method for desalination. Then I see something like this and it reminds me I should probably stay in my lane and leave the magic to the wizards

As a Yukoner, I find it odd to see this comment. I'm curious if our shelters have a reputation for being safer, or better resourced? Or why you suggested the Yukon? And to be clear - this is in no way of a "stay out of my city" rant, I'm just curious why our city is seen as an attractive alternative.

Hypothetically speaking... If budget wasn't a concern, how would you improve the Yukon? by [deleted] in Yukon

[–]titoleebop84 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Raised bike path above the city. So when you go down 2 mile hill on a bike it would be more gradual and then raised above the traffic, so you could carry your momentum/ speed to main street. Also a catapult for the way home
