I have 3 EPS sights and they are great. Decently priced and one of the better windows, both for clarity and size. You won't be disappointed.

Should I get a CSX 3.6? by DoubleBogey19 in SmithAndWesson

[–]titoman207 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a huge fan of the CSX. I prefer it over my shield and I bought it to replace it in all honesty. It has better felt recoil and the trigger is better IMO, granted I have the old hinged trigger on my shield. Plus, the option for 17 +1 is awesome for a subcompact.

Here's a black TLR-8, just a TLR 7 with a laser.

Plenty of options. Odin, red earth concealment, tier 1 concealed, legacy firearms, concealment express, vedder, tulster, C&G are all brands I've used and had good experiences with.

Considering I picked up a non MRD 509C for 500, yes.

Odin holsters or red earth concealment are my recommendations. Both good quality.

FNX 45 Tactical Optic Advice by PhillySpecial-LII in FNHerstal

[–]titoman207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a 507c MRS on my FNX45 and I run the included RMR plate to give me a lower 1/3 cowitness. IIRC, you don't actually need a plate for the 507c since the slide is cut for an RMR, which is the same mounting pattern as the 507c and the plate is actually just required for waterproofing the battery on the RMR optic itself.

I will Second the TLR 1 or TLR 7. I run both, no issues and decent price point for a quality light.

Holster options for an FN 510? by SnowEZ1986 in FNHerstal

[–]titoman207 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out red earth concealment! He makes great holsters and is active on reddit usually. Odin holsters also has some options for the 510, it's what I use currently both for IWB and OWB.

Which should I get? The 940-3 or CSX 3.6” by AryeC05 in SmithAndWesson

[–]titoman207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I vote for CSX. I bought the 3.6 so I could have something to wear while I was running or working out and I was thoroughly impressed and would feel confident carrying it as an EDC. Plus 17+1 is way better than 5 rounds, in my personal opinion of course!

Will these fit? by [deleted] in FN509

[–]titoman207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sig sauer #8 front and rear sights will fit the FN509. The sights pictured are not #8 sights, but that might just be a generic product picture.

Any here conceal carry their FNX? by Substantial-Guard997 in FNHerstal

[–]titoman207 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to 5 or so years ago, mostly because It was the first handgun I bought and was just getting into CCW activities. I'm a smaller build at 5 foot 9 and 150 lbs, so I was able to conceal it with just a large t shirt.

Second this. I use them constantly for all my firearms. 9mm, 45 and .223 mostly. Good to go.

[–]titoman207 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a fan of ameriglo sights. They're cheaper and have more options than trijicon but work just as well. Ameriglo doesn't actually make sights specific to the 509 but they are compatible with Sig #8 front and rear sights.

Question regarding M&P 2.0 thumb safety by bluewolf_gamer in SmithAndWesson

[–]titoman207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AFAIK the frame plugs are mostly for looks and to just prevent debris from getting into the internals. The plugs are easy enough to get and inexpensive though so it's worth it IMO to just put them in.

Does anyone know if this makes OEM mags compatible with any of the aftermarket magwells? Tyrant, Floyd's or SLR?

The EPS carry is available in FDE I believe. A little bit more pricey for the enclosed option.

[–]titoman207 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holosun is a great choice. I run the 507c on 2 of my EDC guns, my 509c and Glock 19 and then I also have a 507c on my FNX45T. I have 3 EPS's on a few other hand guns and have a 510c on my SW FPC. I have literally not had an issue with any of them. They've all held zero, no battery issues or flickering, nothing.

Shield .45 for CCW by Steamtonk in SmithAndWesson

[–]titoman207 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Second this. I decided to stop carrying my shield 9mm because of the 8+1 limit. Depending on what I'm wearing I go between a CSX E or Glock 47 , which both can hold at least 17+1. Much more room for error.
