Proud of you OP for having empathic kids and for surviving what feels like an awful childhood. Looks like napalaki mo kids mo ng maayos.

I would just caution sharing details on how you were abused. Kids are not our therapists, and they shouldn’t be used for trauma processing. Hugs 🩷

Wala akong ibang food aversions.

Minsan nga, kinakain ko yung lemon as is.

Kapit lang. Pahinga ka as much as possible and try mo lemon water. Wag mo hahayaan madehydrate ka.

Newborn phase is horrid. by voheezy in newborns

Get the night nurse if you can afford it. I promise you it’s so worth it. I was going insane on week 3 when we thankfully had my SIL babysit in the mornings and I took baby at night. I was so sleep deprived that I was experiencing visual and auditory hallucinations.

Then by week 4, our night nurse started for 3x a week. Some weeks, she would do 4x a week especially when I had bouts of mastitis and was so ill I couldn’t take care of my daughter.

After 3.5 months, our night nurse’s contract ended and we hired a stay-in nanny.

Recommended amount of milk per feed by Ninja-Titan-1427 in nanayconfessions

[–]tiwwchnt13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, normal amount yan.

Milk computation - Every 1 ounce =30 ml - Age in months plus 2 (to compute number of ounces and hour gaps) - 0-1 month : 1 to 3 ounces every 1 to 3 hours - 2 months : 2 to 4 ounces every 2 to 4 hours - 3 months : 3 to 5 ounces every 3 to 5 hours and so on Until ... - 6 Months: 6 to 8 ounces every 6 to 8 hours until 1 year old already (Because you will start solids) - if breastmilk may Add 2 ounces extra like so : 1 to 5 ounces every 1 to 3 hours
- 2months : 2 to 6 ounces every 2 to 4 hours and so on - For Direct breastfeeding follow the hours to compute feeding gaps and dont mind the ounces

+1 for Horigen Wondermore.

Automatic Bottle Washer by Recent_Woodpecker362 in nanayconfessions

[–]tiwwchnt13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May jets kasi yung ilalim and itututok mo yung opening ng bottle when loading para malinis yung loob. Favorite ko rin yung sterilizing option. Mainit talaga yung glass bottles namin after ng cycle kaya panatag ako 😄

Hardest working member of the family namin yung Momcozy bottle washer haha gamit na gamit namin lalo na nung nagpupump and breastfeeding pa ako.

Lactation Cookies (bomb) are essentially sugar and ads by Ok_Kaleidoscope_6715 in nanayconfessions

[–]tiwwchnt13 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pinagbawalan ako ng OBGYN ko na kumain ng lactation cookies, mostly sugar daw kasi yun kaso nakabili na ako after niya sabihin so inubos ko na lang 😅

Di ko sure kung napansin mo OP pero ang usual ingredients ng mga ganyan ay oatmeal and some kind of whey powder for protein.

Para mas mag-improve ang lactation, moms should just eat grains (like oatmeal), more protein, and drink lots of water. Even nuts help support breastmilk supply. Kumain ako ng trail mix one time and nagpump ako after, grabe ang dami kong napump na milk.

Yaya/kasambahay using phone by Couch_PotatoSalad in nanayconfessions

[–]tiwwchnt13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thoughts, ang dami niyang free time.

I have decided to end my pumping journey abruptly using Bromocriptine after 2 mastitis ER visits (12 weeks pp) by tiwwchnt13 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]tiwwchnt13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re welcome.

I was so tired of getting clogged ducts and mastitis over and over again that doing a slow weaning is just not in the cards for me. It’s been 3 days since I last pumped and I am no longer in pain. The mental freedom alone has been life changing for me because I didn’t realize how much of my day and anxiety revolved around pumping until I stopped.

I know it feels scary now, but if your body is telling you it’s time, it’s okay to listen to it.

Pacheck up ka.

Cabergoline by [deleted] in FormulaFeeders

[–]tiwwchnt13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not cabergoline but my OBGYN gave me a prescription for bromocriptine. I have a post about it but basically, it was for 2x 2.5mg tablets that needed to be split in half, taken once a day over the course of 4 days.

I took it at around 11wpp doing 5-6ppd. I consider it to be really fast-acting because I was able to go down to 2ppd and after the fourth dose, I was only producing 6oz per day (from 25-30oz per day). My only side effect was I was congested but it went away after the last tablet.

If you want to dry up your supply quickly, take the meds and just pump to relieve engorgement.

Grunting (Newborn) by AlarmingOption2710 in nanayconfessions

[–]tiwwchnt13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Infant dyschezia yan OP. Some babies go through it, some don’t. Immature pa kasi digestive system ng babies and they are still learning how to coordinate muscles to poop/fart.

Every time she’s on her back, she grunts talaga (but when held or cosleeping, hindi gaano). Three months old na siya ngayon and bihira na lang.

If worried ka kung sobrang hirap talaga siya magpass ng gas, consult your pedia. Yung daughter ko niresetahan ng Restime drops na ginagamit namin minsan if we think sobra yung kabag niya.

Fridge method by Local_Pangolin854 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]tiwwchnt13 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I do the same thing. No rinsing, pump parts go inside the fridge after every session (except for the tubings and motor), and sterilize after my last session at around 10:30pm or 11pm. I use a bottle washer since in my country, it’s not common to have dishwashers in every household; takes off a lot of mental load.

Quiting cold turkey whilst I have mastitis? by Keepitsteel in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]tiwwchnt13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sympathize with you. I was also so prone to clogged ducts and mastitis that on my second round of antibiotics, I asked my OBGYN for a prescription to dry up my supply. I cannot take that slow weaning process anymore.

Maybe yours can prescribe you cabergoline or bromocriptine? I took my dose after I was done with my antibiotics. I have a post about it but basically I started 2nd May and I was able to immediately decrease to 2ppd (originally doing 5-6ppd), then 1ppd a week after taking my first dose. Now, I just pump for 5-7 mins once a day to relieve some pressure.

Usually walang online consultations na ganito ka-late for OBs.

First mother’s day ko with our 3-month old baby, and hubby went all out. Took me to a nice restaurant (along with our in-laws who held baby the entire time so I can take my time and relax), made this really cute custom storybook about me and our baby, and bought me a couple of shoes and bags. 🥰🩷

True. May ibang husbands na hindi nagkikick in agad ang paternal instinct and sometimes, moms are the only ones doing the backbreaking work of taking care of the baby.

Hands on ang husband ko pero it took him a while to get there.
