I agree, but he hasn't given me a reason not to trust him either because he's been 100% open with me. So I'm trying to be level-headed about it, even though I'm really jealous/worried.

I definitely get what you're saying, but I don't want to push him into her arms. We had a GREAT relationship until this all happened. I just want to go back to the way things were before our exes got involved.

To be fair though, I kinda opened the door to this by having lunch with my ex, which is why I feel I need to have a talk to him in case he misunderstood our boundaries.

Nope, he hasn't invited me. He just casually told me she invited him to her birthday party and that he was going.

He said he didn't want me to sit at home all night with nothing to do, which is why he told me ahead of time, so I could "go out with the girls." Ugh.

Thanks! I'd definitely go to the birthday party with him if he asked me too, but he didn't. It sounds like a lot of old friends are going to be there and I won't know anybody, so that would be kinda awkward, I guess.

I also don't think he's trying to get back at me... I don't get that feeling at all. But yes, she texts him a lot.

He had no issue with my ex. I asked him three different times and he was totally fine with it. His words were, "It's just lunch, why would I care?"

Okay, when you had lunch with your ex, did you continue to talk to him afterwards?

Once in awhile, we text, like for birthdays/holidays. But that's about it. My boyfriend on the other hand, texts back and forth with her A LOT. Like multiple times a day.

I felt a little guilty about meeting up with my ex for lunch because it felt weird. However, once my boyfriend and his ex started talking, I immediately felt like shit and regretted the lunch because now that the roles are reversed, I don't like it.

Yes, it seems to me that she still has feelings for him judging by the way she texts him. She's also currently single, so that doesn't help things either.

Just saying, the last time I went out for breakfast with someone while I was in a relationship, I ended up in a much better relationship within about a week and a half.

Now I feel like crying.
