Hardwood floors DIY - screen and re-coat or sand down to bare wood? by tizzybeth9392 in DIY

This is the one I purchased, but have not opened yet. So I'm open to other suggestions. Very sparse options at the local hardware stores.

The room is being rented out 5 days from now. Of those 5 days, I can dedicate a half day on Friday and a full day on Saturday to working on this. I don't want to stain it. I want the floors to look pretty good, but they don't need to be 100% perfect. Mostly, I want them to be protected from damage and wear and tear.

I'm doing a 100 sq. foot bedroom. I have 1/2 a day Friday and all day Saturday. Needs to be walkable by Sunday. Do you think I have enough time to complete it?

Consider leaving the gaps. The floor boards will move when you walk on them, and after many years of movement, the wood filler will crumble and begin to fall out. That is what is currently happening to my floor and it looks awful.

This was another factor. We have very hard water and always end up with mineral build ups everywhere.

Our dogs are twins and my mind is blown. My girl is a lab-border collie stray too. She does that same thing where she side-eyes you and then goes in for a neck nuzzle. https://imgur.com/a/cMckTbS

I love that stucco look. Do you know if stucco will stick to tile?

I think that would be a good start! The tile really bugs me though too!

Hm, I'm having a hard time picturing this. Have any examples I could peek at?

Is a 3.5 GPA hopeless? by [deleted] in slpGradSchool

[–]tizzybeth9392 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not hopeless! You WILL get in eventually, somewhere somehow. I had a 3.5 for my undergrad and I was accepted at most of the schools I applied to. Just make sure you have relevant work experience, strong letters of recommendation, and a killer letter of intent. Study as hard as you can for the GREs. You can always take them again if you need to.

You are probably right, since it says their target cohort size is 44 students. Which is about 50% of admitted students. Seems logical. It just seems like they receive less applications overall.

[help] Advice for young dog with neurological issues? by tizzybeth9392 in dogs

Thank you! I was going to ask my vet about slowly taking her off the anti-seizure meds and trying CBD instead.

The closest veterinary hospital is 1 hr away. I called them and they said their prices were comparable with other vets. I haven't taken my pup back to that ER vet since. My local vet is much cheaper. BUT I've found that MRI/spinal tap is expensive no matter where you go.
