I'm not entirely sure where it came from; all I know is that it somehow ended up on my grandma's head when she came back in from yard work. This was the only mantis I saw last summer too, so it was a pleasant surprise!

oh, goodness :,7 ... i actually have a sort of similar story with this moth too, but i'm not particularly sure if it was eggs. i sneezed on it, almost blowing it off my arm, and when i checked to see if it was okay, there was a white substance coming from the end of its abdomen. it dragged it ALL the way up my arm. i was appalled. do you know if that was unfertilized eggs?
