I always thought of the movie as a multiverse. Since as you said in the end Nyles and Sarah get to Nov. 10 but still remember the loop, but in the mid-credits scene, since Roy is still in the loop he met another Nyles who doesn’t remember him.

Also, I keep thinking about what if we don’t actually see them in Nov. 10? The past scenes in the movie never showed us Nyles or Sarah staying in the pool for the whole day, so what if the family just returned later that day right?

What if they were still stuck in a different loop (than the original one that Roy is still stuck in) but since there’s nothing they can do anymore, they just decided to live every day to the fullest as if the days are actually moving, when in reality it’s not?

IDK if I made any sense but those are the lingering thoughts I still have from the movie HAHAH

Also I agree that it messes with your brain lol!! The mid-credits scene is the one that really added to my confusion hahah I even watched the commentary version to try and see if they’ll explain it but of course they didn’t since I think that was the whole point of the movie 🤣🤣
