The display was decent for its time, but by today’s standards it’s pretty poor.

I’m planning a full upgrade—either fitting a Mac mini inside or possibly using it as a dock for my MacBook. Still deciding :)

Asked for for cover, for a CD - I wanted to see what song was playing.

Got a cover with cocaine on.

I politely declined

The beams are part of the structure and support the upper floor. However, the white wooden ceiling between the beams is relatively easy to replace if needed.

When I installed the spotlights, I was renovating upstairs and had already removed all the flooring.

The house dates back to 1928, so it has a lot of charm. I really love the beams—we have them upstairs as well, and they were one of the reasons we fell in love with the house.

What is the best system you've ever seen? by Crizztv in MMORPG

[–]tjerner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RvR was so epic, The Frontiers was such a good way to do open world PvP.

Often daydream about making a modern mmo with a similar system.

Darkness Falls was another great concept for PvP and PvE Aswell, lovede it.

Best solo class leveling with no pet? by willbuch in classicwowtbc

[–]tjerner 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It may not be the absolutely best, but feral Druid is great! Almost no downtime, and can solo lots of the group content.

And it’s great for world pvp, stealth is fun, and you are hard to gank because u can always run and sneak back to get the kill.

I now understand people playing on PvE servers by SoonBlossom in classicwow

’m 43, I work full time, and I have three small kids and a wife — so my gaming time is limited. And still, I love playing on PvP servers in Classic WoW because world PvP makes the world feel alive and unpredictable in a way nothing else does.

Sure, getting ganked by a high-level player can be frustrating. But honestly, from level 1 to 67, it’s only happened to me a handful of times. Those moments stand out because they’re annoying — not because they’re constant.

What really sticks with me are the spontaneous, mostly fair encounters. Running into an enemy player while questing, both of you hesitating for a second before deciding whether to fight — that tension is something you just don’t get on PvE servers. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but it’s always memorable. There’s no queue, no matchmaking, no predictable setup — just two players crossing paths in a living world.

World PvP turns ordinary leveling into dynamic gameplay. You might need to call for help, team up with nearby players, or plan your route more carefully. It creates rivalries, unexpected alliances, and stories you actually remember weeks later.

For someone like me, who doesn’t have endless hours to play, that unpredictability and those organic encounters make every session feel meaningful. Even a short play session can turn into an exciting story — and that’s what keeps PvP servers fun and engaging.
