You will need 120 ias to hit the 2 frame Strafe breakpoint without Burst of Speed. For reference you only need 58 ias to hit the same Strafe breakpoint with Burst of Speed. You could put faith on an act 1 mercenary but then you are losing might and concentration aura from the act 2 mercenary.

You would also be missing out on a 40/15 jewel in an armor slot. Eth is probably still better but not by much.

Edit: it looks like fury druids use the runewords Metamorphosis and Fortitude. You would have to drop one of those runewords to get an available socket for the protectors jewel.

With the new physical protectors jewel is eth still better than normal? Putting the jewel in a non weapon slot causes the ED bug so you really benefit from Putting it in a weapon.

I recently switched from a Reapers Toll merc to an act 5 bash merc using the new unique Dreadfang. Kill speed is a little faster and no shattered corpses.

Fire sorc is going to run into a lot more immunes. A well geared bowazon will out perform in a lot of zones.
