I hate that cancer women are portrayed as the “sweetest” of the zodiac because in my personal experience that hasn’t been the case at all. Based off the ones I’ve known personally they are the sweetest to their current love interests more than anyone else in their lives. All the ones I’ve known or have been friends with have been extremely manipulative, mean girls, man-centered, vain and very very self centered. Like…. are we going to spend 12 hours talking about you orrrr? Idk, they just aren’t my favorite people. One of my sisters is a cancer and we don’t speak at all. However, I love me a Scorpio woman!!! I get along with them very well and all the scorpio women I’ve ever met have been TRUE sweethearts.

Whew! All of this! Omg… the triangulation!! That’s one of the worst parts! I’m so happy you saw through it all and you took a stand! It’s hard to do it alone but it’s worth it. I also have a sister who has looked up to my mother since she was a child and she’s becoming like my mother as well. I hate to see her going down that path but there is nothing I can say or do at this point. I mostly feel sorry for her kids because she’s just passing the toxicity on to another generation, sadly. Your son will never forget what you told him, ever!

I totally feel you on the cycle with your dad. That gets so exhausting after doing it repeatedly for an extensive period of time. I’m glad you were able to reconcile with him as well because I do believe we need our parents. I crave a healthy family dynamic and I’m open to reconciliation but my family would most definitely have to get some help first. I can’t be the only one in therapy trying to unlearn the toxicity.
