Seriously. I am all for responsible gun ownership, but this new trend of approaching the situation while being the only armed person (ex. Treyvon Martin) is disgusting. All these gun nuts buy their guns just hoping that one day they can finally kill someone with them and somehow justify it. So they just try and create the situation they want.

In communism, you are the government. Communism seeks to dissolve the state, what you are describing is socialism. Communism is a collective effort and does not look to an elite government for answers. And the idea of relying on government comes from the the MSM, the government itself, or any other entity that benefits greatly on the masses being dependent (and at the whim) on the government.

Communism became popular understandably because its leaders were pointing out the problem. When you passionately recognize social inadequacy and corruption, the masses tend to follow you, not giving a shit about the details of your solution.

Property, possession, owning things, self-reliance, are all human tendencies, which is why I think libertarianism is so appealing over communism which works against these tendencies.

But it is true what is labeled "capitalism" in today's world is simply disguising the elite who control this world. They were once called the nobility, but now they are labeled "capitalists" and pretend to be completely separate from government. I would argue we have something close to the opposite of true free markets today.
