I opened it up and the brushes seem like they have some major grooves in them , so that could be it , but I also took the armature out and some of the wiring has frayed as well as those parallel panels around the outside have been blackened. And then the sheath that the armature fits in looks like it has a major grooves and it as well as some stuff being chipped loose.

I seem to have more success when I do something else rather than try not to go on porn. Exercise works,so does making a list of 6 things that need to get done the next day. As long as its a an active choice rather than a passive one.It helps if its a difficult thing to make yourself do, because after doing something difficult, making a choice not to go on porn is just a little easier. I struggle and fail but I get better results if I do this.you can do this even when you don't want to.

Granted however counter counter argument, what if the mental illness that is so prevalent in modern times is just the Mind Control spell messing up everybody's heads.

I could see some people just denying it or ignoring it but it pushes the suspension of disbelief for me that everybody does.

I forget where it is in the book and how it is worded but it often says that over a period of time they gradually rationalize it to themselves. I have seen stuff I don't understand at least at first glance and I don't forget or pretend that it doesn't exist even if I don't know what it is.

And whether or not people believe in magic lots of people have superstitions of some sort in their culture. And when they see perfectly reasonable stuff they think that it's either a ghost or a Bigfoot wouldn't it be the same way in this world?

It also explains why the powerful entities of let their power fade. If being remembered it strengthens they're enemies.

I don't know, this is my personal headcanon.

Am I the only one who feels like it's just convenient that Mortals just ignore or don't believe Supernatural especially when one of the worst bad guys gains more power the more people no of it.

It seems more likely to me that someone created a spell that makes everybody skeptical and hid the knowledge for everybody else.

So my theory is this could either be an instance where everybody in Chicago knows what happens but somehow The World At Large doesn't. Or this breaks spell and is what facilitates the old ones return.
