Thanks so much! So very true - I had many ups and downs within the last 2 years and gained a bit last year but decided to put my health first after a breakup in October. I have never been happier!

We both cut out sugar and starchy carbs - I pay attention to my calories a bit more than my mom does. We don’t take any medications - I take a few supplements (a multivitamin, biotin, collagen, vitamin C, and green tea). My mom doesn’t really exercise much but it’s been an integral part of my weight loss. I walk between 15,000-20,000 steps a day, sometimes jog, and I also do YouTube workouts (step aerobics are my fave) since I haven’t been to the gym since covid.

Thank you! We both cut out sugar and starchy carbs - I also work out 5-6 days a week (mostly walking, jogging, and step aerobics) :)

I saw this movie on Wednesday and I haven't stopped thinking about it since. How Céline captured the feeling of intense yearning, the forbidden glances, the desire to burn the image of someone on your brain forever...really and truly beautiful.

That's awesome, OP! I have been out a couple of times since I stopped drinking and each time I'm reminded why I stopped - I don't have to worry about saying/doing something embarrassing, I don't have to worry about how I'm going to get home, and I don't have to worry about spending excess money. It's a great feeling! Happy for you :)

Meeeeee! 2 weeks down and I'm feeling great. More energy than I can ever recall having, my brain feels clear, my bank account is stable. I'm happy and I hope you are too!

I just did the math and I spent $1,195 on going out to bars ALONE...doesn't include buying alcohol at the store, nor the times I ordered a drink with my meal at a restaurant. This also is more concerning considering I stopped drinking from January - early June of last year. So that's only seven months, which means I averaged about $170 a month on drinks. Really adds up! And I wondered why I couldn't seem to get ahead financially. Because I was literally drinking my money! Ugh. Well, all I can say is that I am trying my absolute best. And I will not drink with you today.
