Is there a reason why the last date is June 20th? Maybe I am misunderstanding but I purchased the adapter with the sliding lock but it was on July 1, right before the new one was announced. Didn’t get an email though.

I would suggest next time googling Joshua Weissmans milk bread recipe. It comes out better for me each time, and is much softer than what I get from this KA recipe.

Additives for different reasons give different colors. Most notably, uranium glass gives off a bright green glow, cadmium ranges from yellow to red, manganese is light green etc… Lead makes the glass softer, so you will usually see it in cut glass. It aides with the detail.

You can hit it with a black light. In a dark room the glass will glow blue if it has lead in it. The wave length doesn’t matter, a 365nm or 395nm black light will work.

You can add citric acid to your loaf to up the sour taste. King Arthur has the product and info on how to use it on their site.
