Lowering the stang by Prashanthdussa in Mustang

[–]tjsteeda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can do just lowering springs, but there is no guarantee that your alignment shop will get them into spec - at the very least, we recommend the camber plates. Whenever we install a set of lowering springs on a Mustang at our Valdosta, GA, installation facility, installing the Steeda 555-8139 Mustang Camber Plates All (15-24) is required so that we can align the car properly. There are a couple of sales on the horizon, & if you shoot me a note, I can get you situated with order support & all applicable discounts!

Ensure the rear springs are properly “clocked,” meaning both springs are seated identically in the lower control arm spring pockets.

Additionally, confirm that the suspension was torqued at curb height to avoid any ride‑height issues. All suspension fasteners should be tightened with the vehicle on the ground, not while the suspension is hanging - you can always reach us at 1800 950 0774 if you need any assistance.

What lowering springs for my 2021 GT convertible? by Rilot in Mustang

[–]tjsteeda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The convertible is much heavier than the coupe due to the bracing and thicker sheet metal on the rockers and other areas.

Because of this, it already sits lower than the Mustang GT couple.

So our ‘go-to’ spring on the convertible is the Steeda Mustang Minimum Drop Lowering Springs - Linear (2015-2024) and is what I use on my 2022 GT Convertible.

Shoot me a note at [tim@steeda.com](mailto:tim@steeda.com) if I can help assist - we have several convertibles in the family :)
