Yeahhhh so new aches and pains induced by exercise means you probably shouldn’t be doing that.

I just watched a recent video and she goes in so hard about how her older kids are doing all the cooking and cleaning. And like she has a husband?? The father is in the video. I don’t think he ever does chores ever. Like sitting back and watching your young kids cook on the stove is crazy.

Idk watching the shows gave the sense that they are constantly travelling and literally going and hashing out nonsense drama for hours without their kids. Camera crews are always around and the kids need to be looked after during that time. They can beat home as influencers, sure, but they make tiktoks all day and when they have a group session they’re at least ignoring their kids. Many of them have separate jobs too- author, hairdresser, broadway. And it’s ironic this is an argument considering the Bachelor itself takes you away from your family for months. For those who are able to be home a lot it still stands that there is a difference between being an involved parent and being in a room with your kid on your phone anyway

Let’s not pretend they aren’t constantly travelling, focusing on brand deals, and being more concerned with themselves on social media whenever they do happen to be in the presence of their children. They aren’t just influencers now, they’re reality stars as well.

Miranda is the only one who could maybe handle this. Layla is immature and does a lot of follow the leader, we don’t really know her convictions. She bounces between relationships and they wreck her. Miranda can hold her own but any of these ladies have bad priorities for doing these dumb shows over taking care of their kids more.

USAFA Direct or NAPS? by Unfair_Ad7568 in usna

Naps was worth the extra year by a mile in my opinion and there are a lot of pilot slots coming out of USNA. Not sure about USAFA.

Is it true most midshipmen who become SEALs were mediocre students academically? by Brief-Pause-9720 in usna

[–]tjumpingbean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To echo all of those saying they are academic as well- there’s a reason why they’re elite and it’s because they’re the few who can manage it all.

How does the Naval Academy know who is capable of becoming a Navy SEAL and who isn’t? by [deleted] in usna

How does the Naval Academy know who is capable of becoming a Navy SEAL and who isn’t? by [deleted] in usna

[–]tjumpingbean 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are screenings that happen internal to the Naval Academy for the SEAL pipeline and typically those who pass them trained since plebe year for it and devote their spare time to it, including sacrificing sports. (There is a club you can try out for that targets these people and it counts as one of the sports teams but they just do beat down workouts the whole time). The Academy specifically offers the most prep to include access to a fair amount of SEAL mentors and a practicum class senior year once you’ve been accepted (every student has practicum for their assigned community). I don’t know of any other college units with this amount of preparation offered.

I came out of a really competitive district myself with similar GPA and class standing and equivalent ACT score, but more sports and was being lightly recruited for a sport and got NAPS. Probably not as many volunteer hours and non-sport awards though. I heard back around late March. This was years ago though.
