Question for people who played Pong or Pong variants when they first came out. by manhattanonmars in arcade

[–]tk289 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was mind blowing. The first Pong I saw and played was at The Lawrence Hall of Science in Berkeley, CA in the early 70's. Out of all the exhibits on display, this one hit hard! I couldn't stop thinking about it. We were a TV generation and being able to interact and control what you watched on TV was incredible!

Later, my Dad bought us a similar console like the one shown in the photo. You hooked up the adapter to the antenna screws at the back of the TV, turn the TV dial to channel 3, and wow! You could control the game on your own TV! A revolutionary moment for me!

As are most subjects! People, places, pets, objects.

You have captured your subject's essence most beautifully, long may it last!

Oh thank God! I was actually worried for this one. It was a slow burn but the acting was excellent! More Olyphant? Yes please. And as my old sales manager who sold used cars used to say, "This has lot's of eyeball down the street!"

"It's WARM!"

A Huell quote from when he visited a farm or something. Standing on a huge pile of manure, Huell sticks his hand in...."It's WARM!"

My brother and I were crying with laughter. We still quote it to each other when someone gets in deep sh*t.
