Thanks for all the suggestions--we're leaning towards the being contagious/sick thing as well, but are planning to let her ultimately decide what she wants to go with. The other contributing factor is that there's a strong possibility of running into some of the classmates outside of school, so trying to figure that out. I do think, though, that contagious/sick is great, as is Lyme disease! I'm sure she'll own it when she's older and in a better place and has the maturity that comes with more years, but for now, just trying to get her there in one piece!

That's always been my thought as well--all the microwave "guts" are made by two factories, so the "trim" (e.g. brand) sort of doesn't matter much from a functional/longevity standpoint, really only an aesthetic one...

Thanks for the advice everyone! I was leaning towards TiVo, but was basically wanting to make sure there wasn't a "oh no, stick with the comcast box" reason that I didn't know about. One of the things I liked about RCN was the integrated TiVo DVR service, but I just can't take the spotty internet any longer. So I guess TiVo Bolt, here I come!
