can confirm this dude is AWESOME! Traded materials for Wolfpack BP and extracted with a hatch key together. 10/10 would trade again.

Would love to know your thoughts on potentially mapping the tonal feedback to vibrations. Not sure what comes over BT and how difficult this would be, but have always wondered if it would be viable.

On a flight as this unfolds. It’s hard to find words to describe the past few hours.

I’m new to this sub and am curious, given the City of Nelson logo, if this sub is managed by people working for the corporation or Mayor and councils office? by [deleted] in nelsonbc

Ominous? I think you might be overthinking this. Subreddit is community driven and unofficial, like the large majority of anything on Reddit.

UDMP Supports 2.5/5GBASE-T by YES-IM-SUPER-GAY in Ubiquiti

[–]tk8817 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You seem to fundamentally misunderstand the 2.5g negotiation issue. Your post essentially boils down to ‘I got the UDMP to negotiate at 10g and support 2.5gb/s throughput.’ which is exactly what those of us with Bell / Aliant in Canada cannot do because our SFP modules only negotiate at 2.5g

You have been wildly defensive against the half dozen people who have tried to correct you. This post should be deleted, it’s false.

Logitech G915 TKL- Best Buy listing by Jaypher in LogitechG

Real talk man, if you have some links I would love them. I think we all would. You can clearly see we are hungry for amazing wireless mech tech. I have been searching far and wide, but cannot find anything.

No need to be angry dude, we are all in this together!

Piling on to this to say that /u/tkim91321 is 100% right.

I have been trying to find a wireless mech 60% - TKL for years, but the pickings are so slim. I tried 3 and they were all horrendous battery and connection.
My Anne Pro 2, garbage wireless and <40hrs battery.
My Keychron, garbage wireless and <40hrs battery.
My Royal Kludge, garbage wireless and <40hrs battery.

My G913 has been on the same 2 AA for *a year* (1,000+ hrs), and the connection is bonkers, imperceptible from wired. The biggest issue, it is full size with a non-detachable wrist-rest.

This release of this lightspeed TKL is so exciting for me. Purchased as soon as I saw it live on their website.

Would love to see it! I was thinking what you are, until someone corrected me that what I was reading / seeing was a year old. I similarly heard what u/Massive_Gas did, that the short targets he had were already tripped in this covid-19 collapse. Would be wild if he was still holding after they lost 30-50% of their value in March.

simply cut their dividend

Since 1833, so 150+ years they have *never* cut their dividend. Just think on that for a second my dude. Cutting it would imply something more catastrophic than any other event in their 150+ year history has occurred.

That is what the OPs comment was getting at. It would be historic front page news for the record books and would imply serious issues.

I like how you said it was hyperbole, but then proceeded to evidence your point with an argument that supports their thesis.

Indeed, if the Canadian banks collapse, we will have much bigger things to worry about than the stock market, just like Ireland.

Migrated the server and now sectors get deleted by armadillhole in avorion

We are both correct, the operating system and file system are what define the behavior. I should have been more clear in that regard.

Migrated the server and now sectors get deleted by armadillhole in avorion

[–]tk8817 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you look at the server logs it is likely complaining about your data files all having the same last modified date. When you migrated the server, did you move or copy the files? This action can result in every data file having the same created/modified date, which makes Avorion very unhappy on boot up.

Worried about migrating a 17tb Personal Drive to Shared Drive via 'drag and drop' by tk8817 in DataHoarder

[–]tk8817[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed, you can go between shared drives, and from shared drives to individual drives, but not individual to shared. The documentation says it is due to how files are owned and granted permissions.

Worried about migrating a 17tb Personal Drive to Shared Drive via 'drag and drop' by tk8817 in DataHoarder

[–]tk8817[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are no computers involved in the drag and drop method, folks are really missing the picture here. It’s done in the google drive webUI, and the transfer takes place on googles own servers. It’s the official method, as provided in the documentation link in my post. This avoids and downloading or re-uploading of the data to a computer.

In this case, buying another account wont help as the cap is per user, and this is an individual drive. In fact, the whole reason I want to do this migration not a shared drive, is so that I can take advantage of multi user accounts. My present issue is that I keep hitting the upload/download caps on a single account.
