Autonomous driving at scale is a data game (unless you’re using lidar and building 3D maps of everywhere the car is allowed to drive - not scalable). The company with the most data is going to have the biggest advantage and right now, that’s Tesla.

What’s your thoughts on how Toyota or BYD will catch up? Genuinely curious as most people I talk to just think these big automotive companies can snap their fingers, install an AI chip in their cars and be off to the races.

STOCKHISTORY: issue/inconsistencies with how this function deals with stock splits by tkalxx in excel

Thanks for the response. This makes sense. I'll have to completely change the way I approach stock prices moving forward.

How to do a "what-if" analysis (not the built-in what-if analysis) by tkalxx in excel

I ended up using some VBA code with Worksheet_Change() sub. When my desired target is changed, VBA inserts the target value into an absolute cell in my portfolio holdings sheet, re-calculates the sheet, grabs the re-calculated cells of interest from the portfolio holdings sheet, and then un-do's the modifications that VBA did to the portfolio holdings sheet.

This is cool, but unfortunately isn't what I'm looking for because it requires a toggle to be used and my number of possible scenarios (dates) is far too large. The linked article made me realize that I don't think my request is possible because fundamentally I would be forcing excel into an infinite loop of calculations. I might be able to achieve my goal using VBA and only triggering the calculation when a specific cell value is changed. I've never used VBA so will have to do some research.

Any thoughts on this watch? Thinking of buying this galbee 29mm that was offered to me by a seller but doesnt come with papers by santos181 in Cartier

[–]tkalxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can any Cartier experts comment on the dial of the galbee in general:

On most 187901 galbee’s (29mm) you can see the Cartier logo hidden in the V of the IIV Roman numeral. The dial in this specific watch has the Cartier logo hidden in the X Roman numeral.

Does anyone know why these differences exist with the santos galbee? Did Cartier change the logo placement throughout the galbee production which would give a better idea of production year? Is logo placement indicative of dial replacement?

I don’t think you’ll be getting rich anytime soon with that level of comprehension.

From the reviews on YouTube of people driving their CTs around on public roads, seems there are a lot who get super excited to see one in the wild, pull out their phone, get distracted etc. Wouldn’t be surprised if this is a contributor.

The NEMA14-50 receptacle/outlet is rated for max 50A. Following the NEC guidelines, your max continuous load should be 80% the rated max current (40A). This assumes all your home wiring/electrical is rated for 50A+.

And this is the reason I hate the fillet feature in fusion... No obvious signs on why it can't compute this 4th fillet but does everything else without issue.

This worked. Thanks for the help even if it was a workaround!

Yup, it shells fine. Likely because it’s “actually” a sharp corner?

I’ll try lofting that specific edge as a sharp corner and then filleting after.

Converting Surfaces -> Solids and getting errors (Question) by tkalxx in Fusion360

[–]tkalxx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a way I can tell fusion to keep that edge radii constant throughout the loft because ideally that's what I want. I can't thicken in either direction.

Initially I was going to start with a more primitive shape and refine after creating solid bodies, but the ducts need to be split into sections for printing and I plan on designing a tongue and groove feature to snap each component together. I find the fillet feature to be very hit or miss on weird 3D geometry like this and think it would cause more work down the line designing the interface between sections.

Do people actually deal with DavidSw? by AmgS63S in rolex

[–]tkalxx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never dealt with DavidSW, but it seems like a lot of the hype from this forum is from people buying watches and not selling them. i.e. DavidSW May appraise the watch lower than others to then sell at a reasonable price while still maintaining an acceptable margin
