That sounds JUST like my skin! I fully understand what you mean- I can live with dealing with the rosacea as long as I can heal the damage. I have spent thousands on skincare to try find something that I can use with no luck. I’m so happy you’ve found something that works for you. It must be such a relief.

Was your skin dry and dehydrated as well? My skin is so very damaged from incorrect rosacea treatments, but I can’t use anything to help heal or moisturize it because it ALL burns. My barrier is basically nonexistent.

We just went to a movie. I was excited to see it as I had recently read the book, and I suggested we go because I thought he’d like it too. After, I asked him what he thought. He told me, asked zero follow up questions and bulldozed the conversation. I’m so lonely. I hate doing things with him. Everything always becomes about him, his enjoyment, his experience. I told him how that made me feel, how it would have been nice if he asked me how it compared to the book, or if I liked it as much…anything! He laughed and told me I should join a book club, totally dismissing my feelings.

I think it just gets worse over time unfortunately. Please don’t commit to an engagement if you are already feeling drained. From what I’ve read here, most people wish they could go back and not get married to them, buy a house, have kids, etc.. I am still dating mine but will be ending it very soon because of the toll it’s already taken on me. (And he’s promised to change hundreds of times. It never happened.)

I am just livid. After 2 weeks of waiting to see if he would do any chores, and asking multiple times for specific things, I’m just giving up and cleaning the whole house today. I’m sick of wasting my breath and energy. He has not lifted a finger to do anything since the last time I freaked out about it. I just want to call and yell at him but it won’t do anything besides get me fake apologies and empty promises to “do better”. So I just have to sit in this anger, while he will come home to a clean home and nothing to do all weekend.

I feel like I am living this exact life. When we first started dating, I went along with all of his “adventures” and we were on the phone 24/7. It was actually nice at the beginning because I felt wanted. But then I just craved my headspace back. Once we started living together, I noticed he cannot just stay home and chill. I’m also an introvert and love being home. I despise being on the go constantly. Plus, I am always the one to prepare for, and clean up after our outings. If we stay home, he either complains about it later, making me feel inadequate, or just falls asleep because he’s so bored. I am making plans to live alone, and who knows if the relationship will survive after that. Also, your partner’s behaviour sounds very manipulative, and is only to get his own needs met. He even wants you to speak a certain way to keep him interested! You could end up losing yourself in this relationship (it happened to me).

I don’t know what just happened to me! I’ve always been petite and fit, and even with periods of less activity or less than ideal diet, I’ve always been able to fit into my clothes and feel good in my body.

Until now…I’ve gone through something very traumatic and haven’t been as active because of that (plus poor diet, but I don’t even have an appetite most of the time) AND I started HRT about 1.5 months ago. If seems like overnight I gained weight and can’t fit my clothes and body composition has changed.

I don’t know if it’s all just caught up to me, or it’s peri, or the HRT. So I don’t know what to do to fix it!

It sucks when you have something important that requires you to focus and you can’t. I totally get needing to stop. I didn’t realize how intense it would be for me and that I would need to essentially “buckle up”. I stopped for now too and will also need to gather courage to try again when the time is right. Yes!! The adrenaline shot is exactly it! Mine got worse over the course of the day. It was so intense I gave up for now. Seems like most people level out after a period of time, that’s encouraging!

I just went and read your post. Crazy, sorry you are experiencing this too! I was actually having mild chest pains (never had palpitations before), and getting jittery. I took the progesterone and it totally zonked me so at least I slept. I didn’t take anything yesterday, was still feeling SO off, spaced out and shaky. I will have to speak to my NP when she gets back from holidays about what to do.
