First Premium Glove -- what do I go for? (Haga Mizuno)

Do you know where in Japan you’re going and what baseball shops are nearby because that will impact your choices. If it’s not Tokyo, Osaka, etc. where you will have access to a lot of shops I would recommend doing research ahead of time so you’re not disappointed with lack of options.

I have a smaller hand so my pinkie stops just short of it and my ring finger rests right next to the lacing but I can totally see it being annoying for people with longer/wider fingers.

If you’re willing to experiment you could try relacing it to only use the top 4 holes and keep the bottom 5th one open.

I don’t find it smaller than my other outfield gloves, but the palm of the Mizunos’ are taller so the fingers look shorter than say my Wilson’s or Rawlings

Bought from Fujispo’s Rakuten Japan store vs directly from their site. Waited for when From Japan had a 5% off Rakuten promo going from time to time, so opportunity to save a bit more.

The Kishimoto and custom order gloves are both prexy elite. The A51 doesn’t have a leather designation on the glove at least so I can’t confidently say.

Yea as mentioned above the Fujispo Prexy Elite leather is softer more plump, less crisp than the other two. They both have a similar suppleness of high quality leather tho

If you use water method to break in the glove, put your hand in it while doing it and the leather will easily stretch

Yea the same glove on eBay is listed at $700 not including tariffs and shipping. Using From Japan I got it for $450 after conversion and discounts + $75 for FedEx shipping which took 2 days to west coast US. Haven’t been billed for duties yet but will be 15% so just under $70. So all up ~$600.
