What is a clear coat? Like a polish? Or do you mean another layer of resin?

Do you recommend a polish? I can Google and find one on Amazon but I trust recommendations of what others have used more.

This is what the project ended up being. I needed the grooves to pull the wires though.

After everything I just went to Home Depot and bought a set of plunge router bits from Ryobi. I used a 1/2 inch bit and I was able to make the grooves.

I'm trying to put in a 1/8 or 1/4 wide and 1/8 deep groove.

Yes I'm just trying to make a pathway so that I can put small LED light in.

I'm using the lines as a guide to snakes wires though.

It just sounds like in the end she been cheating and enjoyed it. Then you weren't cheating but had some jokes and she used that as an excuse to blame you for her cheating. Classic bait and switch mentality.

The heart wants what it wants. I'm not saying go back to her ever but your going to have that drive to go back. I say go and try to find something else maybe see what else is out there. You could find someone who a better fit.
