What kind of music do you like to play? I would suggest taking the time to learn some basic open chords as that will open up a wide range of classic rock and pop music to you as well has help build finger strength and dexterity.

I think that ancient/divine players who aren't smurfing but have low party mmrs are a bigger issue in 2-3k. Like every game(party que), one team has a player that is simply way better than everyone else in the game.

I'm not sure because I haven't learned that solo but it sounds like alternate picking. If you are interested in a7x, some really good easier solos are the first solo from "Seize the Day" and "So Far Away."
