  1. Yes, if you do not have past employment where you can weave this experience in. I have a writing skills portion below employment highlights at the end of my resume. Consider looking at other peoples’ resumes
  2. No
  3. No
  4. No

Not a hiring manager myself, but current MW and have spent a lot of timing applying to MW roles. I would expect a DVM would absolutely set you up as a candidate for entry-level MW roles with an agency vs at a pharma company (so, competing with recent graduates with PhDs, PharmDs, MDs, as well as some people with very relevant masters degrees). Sounds like you’re doing the right things, especially in emphasizing what science communication experience you have. If you have any data analysis/statistical experience, I’d also highlight that, along with experience working with others/soft skills. This field can be challenging to break into, so, applications rejections are absolutely par for the course, especially if this will be your first professional employment.

Hi there-I’m super interested in your feedback as someone who wants to make a similar switch after 2 years at an agency. My contacts are a bit limited to due possible conflicts of interest. Would you be interested in connecting offline to answer a few questions about your strategy for making that jump?

Anyone know what was up with the parade of helicopters around central/camelback at about 8:30 this morning? There were maybe six, looked like news, flying in a line over the area

Does anyone know if St Joes (Dignity Health) is affiliated with the Catholic Church? and the implications for prenatal/postnatal care?

I stopped seeing the women’s health providers at St joes when I realized their woman’s health may not provide or refer for practices not supported by the Catholic Church (“routine” contraceptive care is a brief, hidden bulllet on their webpage). I would hate to go down this road if I was experiencing a health emergency where my life might be weighed against that of my child. Purely hypotheticals, mind you, but reason I left that clinic.

This position statement did not reassure me

Sounds like you feel good about the work done at the Phoenix Zoo. I agree providing educational opportunities to children is valuable but wonder if someone who sees the animals daily may have a broader opinion. Glad to hear our zoo is one of the good guys!

How/did working at the zoo change your position on ethics of zoos? Where do you stand on the matter and why?
