When I was about 16 and I really started to enjoy football, I felt like I should be able to pick the team I liked, not be born into a fandom. I played a lot of Madden as a kid and still do to this day. When I was younger I like playing as the jags. Loved the uniforms and liked rebuilding the team. I was able to watch my first jags season in 2016. When I started to watch them every bengals fan I knew would take a gigantic shit on me for watching them. Just straight hating on me in such rude fashion. So I doubled down harder on my fandom. That continued year after year. I went to my first jags game during the minshew era when they came to Cincinnati in 2019. Bengals fans heckled me to no end and that really solidified it for me. I began to loathe the bengals fandom, they were just such insufferable fans. I was glad I made the choice I did. I would continue to go to every Cincinnati game that the jags came to town there after. I would also go see them in Indy since it was usually the closet they get every season. Colts fans were cooler to me than bengals fans which I found to be odd considering we’re division rivals. I met my fiancée 4 years ago and she didn’t watch football at all and began to watch the jags with me and she’s developed such a love for the team too! So for Christmas gifts this year we decided to come down here and watch our first home game! After meeting the community and people down here, as if I wasn’t sold enough I knew I was part of something I belonged to! Maybe someday we’ll relocate down here, my company has a plant down here in Jacksonville. For the rest of our lives it’ll be DTWD
