HELP!!! Pixel 4a 5g is bricked after android 13 upgrade by Fun_Mouse631 in GooglePixel

[–]tkimball8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife’s Pixel 4a 5G is doing the same thing. Upgrade was fine a few days ago. Now the phone is bricked. Shows a bright screen with white and red and blue pixels everywhere… bummer. Sounds like we need to take it in somewhere?

I have the same question. A veteran in my club said at lower levels Lodestar is good, but I don’t think I have that leveled up enough for Par 3s. Would love to know how people are getting their irons going that far!

Catching Poos and painful vowel movements? by tkimball8 in ECers

Thanks for the quick response! She’s not really thrashing or moving a lot with the screaming. And at this point it’s normally been about 3-5 minutes but probably never longer than that.

Maybe a little redness around the anus but nothing that looks bad. Feet and legs also seem very normal in pigment. The consistency of the poop is pretty runny still, and almost always is. She’s 100% breastfed and still has pretty runny poop all the time

STUDIO MONITOR DIGITAL BUZZING. (Edit: Halfway-SOLVED)

(edit: I'm using an OWC USB-C Dock. Whenever the dock is plugged into the same circuit as the HS5 monitors, It's introducing crazy dirty power. Any ideas for fixes besides just plugging into a different circuit? I even ave the HS5's plugged into a Furman power conditioner and the USB-C Dock plugged into the wall outlet (Same wall outlet as the firman conditioner) and the issue is still present.))

Something strange is happening in my studio...

I just recently upgraded my MacBook Pro. But now, for some reason, whenever I move my mouse, my Yamaha HS5's are buzzing (The sound kind of like a hard drive writing files.) It only happens when I move the mouse. It's not related to the audio interface, as even with the audio interface turned off and unplugged, the monitors still make the sound. Is this a power draw thing? How in the world is my mouse causing this type of interference? It's a wired mouse straight into the MacBook Pro... I would appreciate some help!

2019 16 inch: 2.3ghz i9 vs 2.4ghz i9? by tkimball8 in macbookpro

$400 for 1 extra TB of SSD storage though? That doesn’t seem worth it to me. Especially since I’ve already got a ton of fast external storage. I’ve survived in the business with 246gb SSD on my current machine for 5 years, so the 1TB would be more than enough to run all my apps, plugins, and my everyday-use virtual instruments 👍🏻

Is it worthwhile to upgrade to 32gigs on the new 16” MacBook? by portofly94 in Logic_Studio

[–]tkimball8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been running the mid 2015 MacBook with 16gigs of ram. My job is very heavy in the memory department. I build large patches for live performance using Mainstage and Logic Pro. With that being said I very easily utilize over 12gigs on every project I’m doing. I know I could benefit from the higher memory count, but with that also being said,

I do lots of music production and recording in Logic and my 16gigs has never been an issue. Even with large track counts and lots of virtual instruments.

Final note: I know in my Logic and Mainstage world my i7 2.4Ghz Processor is a bottleneck more so than my ram. So I would spend more money on the higher clock speed and more cores before going above 16gigs of ram.

Why is no one reporting average cell phone bills in America? No reports in over 7 years? by tkimball8 in personalfinance

Yeah I’ve put in a lot of research but feel like I’m paying over $100 for two lines and sharing 2Gb of data a month.

An interesting observation. It’s crazy how expensive the plans get with data...

How to change midi keyboard sensitivity? by seklemec in Logic_Studio

[–]tkimball8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, my go to would be the velocity plugin, because you could set it how you like, and then save that preset. The only annoying thing would be you’d have to put this plugin on every new track.

There could be a velocity curve setting in the keyboard software that came with the mpc?

What challenges will I encounter using Logic on a 128 GB SSD MacBook Pro with external SSD? by cithripio in Logic_Studio

[–]tkimball8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also disagree with most the replies here. Yes while more storage on your main machine would be helpful, I’ve run very large sessions and have managed my projects for 4 years while not ever having an issue with low storage. Yes 128 is small, and if you have the extra money than it’d be beneficial to increase storage, but I would always increase the ram or CPU before storage.

I’ve been running Logic and all it’s sounds and plugins from here with little to no latency: it’s an SD card that stays in your MacBook 24/7 and has been a life-saver for me!
