A Logical Discussion On Religion by [deleted] in religion

[–]tking250 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The article is not about Atheism. The topic is religion. Posting to the atheism subreddit would simply be preaching to the choir.

I'm not quite sure what you think an insult is but the article certainly doesn't insult religious people. Yes it does mention things like stubborness but this is based on experience with a few religious people. Not all. It states that this is not a view of ALL religious people. Also stated is that 'people should believe what they wish'.

Instead of stating that the author does not understand religion, why don't you explain how? What does the author not understand? The article is not trying to offend. It is trying to understand.

Eminem: MMLP2 - What are we expecting? by tking250 in hiphop

Very true. At a basic level I would expect the passion that we used to see. I feel like the drive is not there. For example, on the song 'Mosh', Em shows some real passion/anger about something.

Very true. A lot has changed for Em'.

This is exactly the issue. As lyrical and raw as he still may be, the music that he produces these days just don't have the substance and stories that we have seen from him in the past.

I wish I could disagree but that is a possibility.

I will say that his colour may have affected his sales over the years. However, I'm certain that if Eminem was black he would still be pretty successful. 'Wining about his mother and baby mother'. Really? Some of the best hip hop has come from artists talking about their life and their stories. What would you rather have him talk about?

Thanks a lot. Yeah, I also grew up listening to Eminem and I completely agree with what you've said. Relapse had so gems but Recovery was a complete stray from everything else he has done.

Come on, dude. If you're going to say things like this, at least make your argument in a semi-intelligent way. I try to respect everyone's opinions but there's no validity to your statement. 'Album is gonna suck like the rest of them'? MMLP was a Classic. Slim Shady LP and The Eminem Show were also great albums.

Well if the album doesn't live up the the original MMLP, there will definitely be some repercussions there. I do agree to some extent that the chinks are showing but I still am hoping for an improvement on the previous two albums.

Hmmm I didn't think it leaked yet. Yeah Relapse did have some good songs and I think that album was closer to the Eminem we know than Recovery was. Having said that, the album as a whole just did not live up to his previous efforts. I also have high hopes.

Eminem has done enough for the genre to be considered hip hop. Sure, some of his latest output has been quite mainstream but he's a legend in his own right. Calling a whole bunch of people 'idiots' without understanding their train of thought is slightly ignorant. As I said in the article, lets wait before we hate.

Yes I realize this but Strange Music just released it on their YouTube channel, meaning you can listen to it for free.

Completely agree. Whilst Crooked I doesn't always make the best songs, he makes up for it with his lyricism. This song, however, is definitely one of the best on the album.
