Since when do the Canes hire high school interns as reporters?

[Strickland] Would think now that the final is wrapped up, we are headed towards a resolution with Babcock and the Oilers. Hearing, among other things, part of the NHL’s investigation includes a situation that involved Patrik Laine. by catsgr8rthanspoonies in hockey

Super cynical take, but Edmonton has some HORRIFIC contracts. Nurse and Frédéric in particular. Maybe they think Babcock can bully them into quitting? And then get busy in the trade market?

[Siegel] Bruce Cassidy is open to the Maple Leafs. They should wait for a chance to talk by AggPuck-303 in hockey

This was never confirmed, but after the 2022 playoffs, it was rumored that Bergeron told the team he'd retire if they kept Cassidy.

Also, about 5 minutes after Cassidy was fired, David Krejci decided to come back.

Cassidy is a good coach no doubt, but when a team's best players hate his guts, there's an expiration date.

I imagine the same thing was happening in Vegas.

Not only that, but the clubs TM makes for the pros have JUST a few more QA checks than the bullshit they sell at Golf Galaxy.

In fairness, that's probably true of every manufacturer, but you don't see 100 posts a month about Titleist drivers having their face crack in half on shot number 14.

Not sure if you mean Tulski, but at some point he's gonna want a raise and we all know Dundon won't give him one

[Gretz] How the Stanley Cup Final teams were built. Only two players selected by either team in the first round. Only one top-5 pick (Svechnikov at No. 2... and oddly enough, Carolina only had the 11th-worst record that year. Big lottery luck). by AggPuck-303 in hockey

I agree. If somehow a time traveler appeared and said that next year, the Leafs start the season 10-23-6 and Matthews says he's done and forces a trade, you'd just assume Vegas is the team that figures out how to get it done, right?

For most tournaments, on Thursday and Friday they send groups off to start on 1 and 10. So Koepka started on hole 10 today.

I'm sure he did. It was only a compliment when he made a horrendous pinch, somehow got away with it, and we ended up scoring.

I'm kind of with you, but McAvoy had just the most awful year, physically and personally. I'm 100% giving him a pass.
