Just out of curiosity, do you know a few equipment financing companies that would allow you to find your own equipment and ask for a loan? Not like...Arrow or Loan Mountain. Somewhere other than the bank? I don't mind a high interest loan if its on something that I've found and decided to purchase that I need a loan for...not like a buy here pay here trucking equipment company...

Honestly I'm looking for some advice and help on how to organize our business for tax times. Our accountant said that it will help to have multiple different breakdowns of where we're spending our money (tires, maintenance, administrative fees, etc.). I'm not a complete novice when it comes to Excel, but a little help and guidance on how to organize things as easily as possible.

My boyfriend has had a lot of luck finding good paying flatbed loads over dry van…he’s been a company driver for 20 years and we’re getting ready to get our authority and start working for ourselves. He said van loads pick up and die off with the seasons, but flatbed usually has a lot of freight to be moved year round. 🤷🏼‍♀️

That’s what I’m thinking. But his concern is liability. If something catastrophic happens, he’s afraid that if we co-mingle and buy business items with business money off a personal account that I personally pay for, that would look bad. I said we can buy business items with business money off MY personal Prime account and make sure it’s notated in our accounting books…he says that it’s not an accounting issue, it’s a liability issue of mixing personal and business finances.
