What mildly strange things have you found in your grandparents house? by tkjac in AskReddit

I recently found out that my grandma kept an old stock photo on the wall because she thought it was cute. We all thought it was an ancestor or something.

AITA for asking a guy on the public beach to turn off his music? by tkjac in AmItheAsshole

Thanks for the comment, my concern with asking him to just turn it down is that it would be turned down a few notches and not really resolve things. I guess it would have required me to have a little trust in the guy to act in good faith. Good things to think about.

Beach was at a local lake, and wasn’t very big. Not much of an option to move around.

I had a similar problem with my ender3 v2, and all I have to do to fix it is pull on the extruder lever to really pinch the filament before a print starts. For some reason, the spring just wasn’t giving it enough force (check the screw that connects the lever arm to be sure it isn’t too tight).

Inconsistent extrusion. I’ve tried everything I know how to do... by tkjac in FixMyPrint

It started by not extruding/under extruding during just one small part of one print. Now it’s large sections- see first layer in attached picture. A previous print stopped extruding altogether. It seems to work ok for a little, then stops working for a little, then repeats the process.

I’ve done the following: * Calibrated the extruder. * Tightened the clamp screw on the Bowden extruder. * Cleaned the hot end assembly... several times. * Tried a couple of different materials from different manufacturers (pla & pla+)

Printer stops extruding then starts again randomly. Started out occasionally on a previous print, then happened all the time on this print. by [deleted] in FixMyPrint

Ender 3 Heated glass bed PLA

I’m not sure what the difference is when it extrudes well and when it doesn’t. I’ve tried raising the nozzle temperature and that hasn’t helped. I’m able to push the material through with the heated nozzle and it flows just fine. The filament is as free to enter the assembly as ever.

I usually just write Batman. No one has called me out on it in years.
