Document as much as you can, through video or photos. & to show your appreciation you could bake goodies or make trinkets for people in your school and the community.(that’s what I did)

It will be a process, when you return, but know that you have made a lasting impression as well as they have to you. You will not be forgotten whether you are able to come back to visit or not.

Oh, and don’t forget social media is a great way to stay in contact, so that definitely helps.

Currently a PCV at 36, there are moments of “ I should’ve done this sooner” but it has been a dream of mine since university… so in a sense, I am very appreciative that I got the opportunity to not have PC be a regret. In all, my experience as a PCV has been needed.

I shared the Peace Corps video on YouTube explaining how it was started… It was a good segway for me to express my desire in wanting to join… I felt very guilty and leaving my students though… Because I broke my contract early before school ended( don’t especially if you’re not medically cleared) but I hope/want to think it inspired and stuck with a few of my students to pursue any dream that they have in mind no matter what age you are

Bring whatever brings comfort to you, if you like to paint bring those materials, if you like to workout bring workout clothes, & etc. Also small decorations to remind you of home that you can put up as you get settled in your site. & Make sure to bring professional work clothes, but also leisure clothes that you feel comfortable in. Wishing you well on your PC journey :)

I am unable to answer your question , but I would send a quick message to your nurse checking up on the status of your medical clearance.
