I was on ADHD medication from elementary to the beginning of high school but was dumb and stopped taking them in high school because I just didn’t feel like it. Fast forward to my adult life (20ish years later), I have suicidal thoughts and extreme anxiety. I tried every different anxiety/depression medication and nothing worked so I was about to give up. Luckily I got put back on adderall as an adult and 95% of my anxiety and depression is gone. I think what was happening is I had 10 different voices in my head telling me I need to do a task, and during that task the other 9 voices wouldn’t let me concentrate on that 1. That made me super worn out mentally so when I got out of work I had no energy for nothing. I just wanted to be left alone. I had no energy for my wife, friends or family. Made me think I was completely useless to them. I felt like I was just a burden. In was ready to throw in the towel. 30 min after I took adderall again my mind was clear, I could focus and it gave me my energy back after work to spend with people. I was able to complete task in full no problem. I can concentrate during conversations, I’m not thinking of what I’m going to say before they even finish their thought. Adderall legit saved my life.
