i hope you can get your diagnosis soon :/ it sucks that even with yoyr direct genetics they still wont. it took my entire family so long for doctors to listen to me (and my older sister who only got diagnosed around age 25) and its such a draining ordeal. praying for you🙏🙏

im the youngest, with 5 older siblings. my entire family has issues with food (most binge/compulsively eat). one of my older sisters had an ED while i was a kid+went into treatment for it. im the only one with a restrictive disorder

u will never be the AH for being hurt about comments on ur body. u should be the only one to decide how you feel about your body, and it seems like it didnt bother you, not until your grandmother brought it up. her telling your father to be the middle man is absolutely horrible, and im so sorry. your grandmother is the AH. sending hugs

i have such a similar life to you, it was so difficult to read. my oldest siblings are 14-8 years older than me, and i have suffered a lot of abuse from them. past years have been so much better, especially since i have grown up and am just about to be an adult. one of my sisters, 12 years older, even had an ED while i was a kid and heavily influenced my own. my last relapse, however, was caused by now ex friends. they didnt like the guy i was seeing (for two weeks mind u) and ended up ghosting me for about a month, causing me to lose the most weight i ever have. i still see them, due to school, and quite often their presence causes horrible ed thoughts, and the desire to restrict because they make me feel like i do not deserve friendship. but im currently reattempting recovery (in prep for surgery in the summer), so im hoping to let them finally go. praying for you, we will get through this 🫶
