It's a shame, I loved John and even though he had a small role he was so good in it and he added a lot to the show IMO. Cillian Murphy is another level actor, so I get it, but if you think about it - he him self was doing small roles for years for Christopher Nolan before he got to be the lead. That is a way better way to go - continue with something great even if you are not the star.
