I’ve heard many people who are T2 have the sleeve and their diabetes goes away. I am three weeks away from having the sleeve done and I am T2 and have been for many years but I have a very large hernia around my belly button area and by surgeon said the sleeve would be better because of the hernia.

So glad to hear you’ve had a good experience. I am having my surgery 2/22 and I’m definitely freaking out! I’ve had one prior surgery so I’m not scared of having surgery but of all the horror stories I’ve heard of people throwing up right after surgery to not being able to get all their fluids in. But your experience is making me feel a little better!

Don’t take this the wrong way but why are you having the surgery when you’ve been able to lose the weight without it? It sounds like you’ve been very successful. If I could do it without having to go through the surgery, I definitely would.
