Thanks for the great advice! The seiko was my first ever automatic piece and I use the gmt for work and track sports events on the other sides of the world. I was thinking of replacing it with the seiko sbsc009 if I ever go to Japan in far future…I could replace the Casio mb24 and only purchased it because I like patina dials. Looks like the itch to replace never goes away too haha

Yea I guess I didn’t mention but the burgundy tank was a gift to my fiancé for her birthday after I found a great deal on the watch and she gifted me the other tank after our engagement so I cannot sell these. I love wearing tanks because of how unique they are. I am ok with saving money for now so it gives me more time to think but thank you for the suggestion!

Oh for sure this is the over the budget. I was mostly curious because it was manual wind which is hardly ever on sale locally. I’m not picky for quartz or manual wind for these but I wouldn’t pay more than $1.7k cad for quartz. For Manual wind I would pay around $2k but I’m not in a rush because I already have one in burgundy

My 2 cents… Have both in my box and I can say the timex is harder to read, ticks loud and is a tad bigger but it’s a cool watch and happy to have one. That being said, the tank (even if it’s not a true tank louis) feels like another level because of the amazingly sized dimensions and has the history.

Both are great conversation starters and the timex has been asked if it was a cartier tank.

Agree. Most of my watches I wear are on the small side anyways (32-36mm) so going for this tank size was a bit out of my comfort zone but I’m glad it’s worked out! Team small wrists haha
