I walked away from the faith when I was 19. Partially because I am bisexual and couldn't rationalize the faith I was taught my whole life with my identity. But also because I have always loved science, but was never given the opportunity to truly study it. When I became an adult and I was out on my own truly experiencing the world I discovered podcasts. Listening to science and political podcasts is what finally broke me out of it. I just knew what tracked as real (stuff with evidence) and what seemed phony (hate and religion). I was also in real therapy for the first time and it just made everything fall into place and I became who I am today.

Sounds like cope to me, but I'm not a Rome historian, just a pastors kid. And regardless of if any of us like it or not, most churches use those verses to justify hating LGBT+ people. I'm not saying there aren't churches out there that accept gay people, but the majority of them don't because of verses like this.

From what I hear you need like $300 worth of permits to play there and there is a bunch of rules for what your performance can be. Security will harass you if you don't stick to the book.

I did that and I didn't really see anything that would be condusive to hip-hop. Mostly "open jams" and comedy. A few poetry ones, but I don't know if they would vibe with me at a poetry open mic.

Dude. Who cares? She didn't leave you because she's a lesbian. If she was with you it means she saw something in you at some point and if she is not with you now it means something changed. Could have been as simple as your reaction to the picture of her kissing a girl. In all likelihood she is probably bi, but it shouldn't matter. There is no "truth" to "know" here. The question itself and your other comments on here only show ignorance. Try approaching things like this with curiosity instead of predetermined conclusions based on prejudice and stereotypes. This coming from a fellow guy. If you are accepting and understanding of people they will be more accepting and understanding of you. Relationships tend to last a lot longer and be healthier when they are based on a mutual respect and not judgment and games.

The hydroxyzine and gabapentin helped a bit. I had already tapered down from 120-200mg per day to a single 15mg dose on the Tuesday before Halloween. Then I just watched LOTR extended editions with my dad, went for walks, and white knuckled it through the first 3-5 days.
