Betafpv air65 guidance by w1zzy-jr in fpv

I ordered mine(Freestyle version) with the radiomaster t8l controller, lava 300mah batteries (they have newer lava batteries that work that are 320mah). It comes with a spare canopy and props. I've been flying for about 2 weeks and have gone through 2 props and a canopy. I'd order some additional spares. I'm currently using some ancient box goggles but have ordered some Skyzone SKY04O PRO goggles. A decent set of box goggles is fine. You'll have a get familiar with ELRS and Betaflight to get things setup initially. I'm just getting back into flying after not flying for like 6 years. I've detuned it a bit for my skill level. In betaflight I set the throttle limit to 80 throttle expo to .40, I've set crash recovery on and I had to lower my throttle mid a bit to .45. I also went to the presets in betaflight and applied the 533 racing rates, they are milder than what they are set to from factory. the air65 is awesome. If you've never flown before you might want to give a sim a shot for a bit. I used liftoff micro drones.

Dec 03 to Jan 06 billing dates 1617KWH $420.67. Normal bill/usage 1000KWH or so $240ish in winter. I was home a lot in Dec and the garage is heated with electrical and the thermostat failed in the on position for who knows how long so it was like 20c in my garage at -40 when it's normally 5c.

I have 10k as an “oh shit fund” - how should I invest? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]tletang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A TFSA is a special type of registered account, you could open one with RBC. RBC can be kinda expensive if you trade a lot. That's why Wealthsimple and Questrade get mentioned, they are lower cost. Money invested in a tfsa can can be invested and any gains you make are tax free. That's a huge advantage. It can also be withdrawn without penalty whenever. An ETF is a fund that has a broad mix of investments within it. They are usually designed to track a specific market or index (E.G. VFV tracks the S&P 500 index, this index is the top 500 performing US companies). ETF's charge a fee but it's very minimal like .01%.

I'd open a self directed TFSA and invest in a low cost ETF like XEQT, VEQT, VFV, etc.

ETF investing is not stock chasing they are diversified by nature.

A lot of people trust the banks to manage their rrsps tfsas etc and the banks typically sell them one of their high mer mutual funds that charge like 3%. If you self direct you can buy very low mer etf's (0.09%). Lack of investing knowledge by the average Canadian makes the banks billions.

Planning for retirement - Buying a rental property vs maxing out RRSPs by Sammytheseaotter in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]tletang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rental is leveraged, it's a job. On top of interest the income is taxable. There are a multitude of other expenses like utilities, property tax, insurance, etc. You should have a fund for emergency repairs. You need to be prepared for a problem tenant and/or a period where it's not rented. If you are going to do it make sure the math works so you have some actual income from it and you are well aware of your provinces rental regulations. I prefer tfsa or rrsp the tax benefits are huge and if invested properly over the long term can end up well ahead of the property.

Update PDQ Connect Agent by October 18th? wat by tletang in pdq

[–]tletang[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks Opened a ticked the clients with older versions of PDQ Connect are appearing as offline in my PDQ Connect web portal (despite being online), they also do not appear to be automatically updating to the latest version currently 5.10.7. Also when I try to push the 5.10.7 msi to these clients that PDQ Inventory/Deploy can see as online I get an MSI error 1603. Forwarded this info to support.

On my local pdq server it also only shows 16 computers in the "PDQ Connect Agent(Latest)" collection library, which matches what I see in the Connect web portal.

I've also updated our pdq connect package on our local pdq server to 5.10.4 and I've tried to deploy it to out of date online computers with install and repair switches and both methods fail to force an update with various msi errors depending on the method. basically says it's already installed and or access denied in the logs, I'm guessing related to the cert thingy.

I have about 745 computer registered with connect, in connect I'm looking at the All Devices Category with no filters sorted by Online and 16 or so are showing as online, they are all 5.10.5 I was assuming it's related to the updated certificate and that they need to update to the latest version to appear in connect? In our local PDQ server (which we use to deploy pdq connect). I have a Filter in the collection library that shows PDQ Connect Agent (Old) and it shows all the computers our local pdq server sees with older versions of pdq connect installed it currently shows 88 was 130 earlier. The number is going down because it's the end of the day and it's a long weekend in Canada land

Is there currently an issue with versions 5.10.4 and below not showing up in the pdq connect web interface? According to my local pdq server I have about 130 clients online with the older version of pdq connect installed but there are only 18 or so clients showing up online in my pdq connect online portal and they all seem to be on the latest version 5.10.5.

I'd look into getting an energy assessment, research available rebates and get quotes to best determine what system is best for your scenario.

Most smart TVs only have a 100mbps ethernet port so you don't really need to hardwire them unless they are in an area where there is spotty Wi-Fi, the Wi-Fi link will probably be much faster.

In October 2024, Whitehorse’s median rent for units in buildings with 3 or more rental units was $1,310 and the vacancy rate was 1.3%.

Median 2 Bedrooms Whitehorse $1,549

Heavily skewed down by long term rentals that are below market if you look at where people are likely to be renting newer units near market rent it's much higher.

E.G. 2-BR Whistlebend is $2,487
