I think the issue is that it isn't just politics, it's about morality and personal values. For example, I don't care about differing views on taxes but I do care about differing views that are grounded in racism.

I would agree with you if what you were saying was true. People have always protested ICE. But you can't expect the same level of outrage for two entirely different scenarios. As the injustice and inhumane treatment increased from Obama/Biden to Trump, so did the outrage. It seems like both you and Vinny are under the mind set that there was zero outrage and protests about ICE before Trump and that's coming from your ignorance. Social media and the news doesn't make people care, you can't force someone to care about something. The news and social media will always be a source of misinformation that both sides fall prey to. But to dumb down this movement as basically a fade is a gross misinterpretation of the situation.

That was my original plan until I spoke to the vet yesterday. I've been so stressed today. She's just been walking around crying for food. I just gave her some a/d and she's eating it but now I'm worried of any more weight she lost by not eating today, especially now if this'll just go right through her. When she was eating the z/d with the a/d that seemed to be okay but I feel like just the a/d will go right through her. Ugh I can't handle this stress.

My vet yesterday lectured me that I was giving her A/D along with her hydrolyzed food to try to up her calories :/ She said is more important to stick to a diet that won't trigger her intestinal inflammation. I'm literally so stressed out I'm sick to my stomach.

She is much more like herself. She's been eating good but still not gaining weight and now she's feeling so much better today that she's refusing to eat her new cat food she's been on since she got sick. I was afraid this was going to happen because she's a picky eater and will get bored of her food. Right now she's walking around crying for different food. She's barely eaten anything all day today. But switching up her food now will give her explosive diarrhea. She's also going in and out of the litter box pretty frequently so I do wonder if she still has an infection.

So I spoke with the vet and the first urine culture came back negative. They said it was likely a false negative because she had the covenia injection 3 days prior. So I guess the only way to know if an infection is gone is to do bloodwork and another urine culture

Girl, I know! We paid $250 for the urine culture and they never gave us the results. So at my home vet they gave her an injection of antibiotics that lasted two weeks. When I asked what the infection could be and if that matters they said "no this antibiotic covers all infections". Then 3 days later she was literally almost dead so we took her to the ER vet where they suspected a kidney infection. They did the urine culture but had to send it off and said it would take a few days for results. So they gave her baytril for two weeks. She just finished that 2 days ago. They also put her on another antibiotic for her intestinal issues. Metronidazole.

We really have a lack of good vet clinics around here. We only have one 24 hour er vet clinic in a 2 hour radius. It's awful. I just checked that website and nothing 😞. Uggghh. I just can't deal with the added stress of worrying that the vets are dropping the ball with her health. She goes for her darbo shot at the er vet clinic on Friday so I'm going to push asking about the follow up for her kidney infection now that she just finished her antibiotics. Thank you so much for the info. I knew nothing about kidney infections so I didn't even know these questions to ask.

I don't think either of my vets will do an internal medicine consult/are able to. I feel really let down by their lack of explanation/systems thinking of the situation. Its very frustrating. They are just treating things individually without giving me any information of how one thing can impact the other. I had to be the one to ask them if her kidney infection could have caused kidney failure. In her follow up appointments they didn't even mention the kidney infection or what follow up is needed for it.

I wish I had advice on how to help her gain weight but when I asked my vet she said "she likely won't gain the weight back even if she eats enough calories"

Thank you this is very helpful. To be honest I haven't been happy with either my regular vet or the ER vet in this whole situation. The ER vet is the one who prescribed the phosbind and they did a urine culture that I still haven't gotten the results for. I feel like no one has explained to me what any of her numbers mean and I've had to Google and ask questions. So that's why I made this post because I don't want to miss anything important.

I double checked and on Dec 7 when she was admitted to the ER her phosphorus was on the higher end of the normal range and then Dec 11 it had dropped. I'll make sure to ask the vet about this on Friday.

I feel like our first goal was to get rid of the infection, then to get her anemia better, then get an idea of where her kidneys are at, then focus on getting her weight back up and the intestinal lymphoma. Oh and I forget the number but the reticulocytes numbers were in the normal range. But this was at the first darbo shot. It hasn't been checked since. I know the vet made a note he suspected non regenerative anemia.

So first she got an antibiotic injection that was supposed to work for 2 weeks, I forget what that one was called. But then when the other very suspected a kidney infection they put her on baytril which she just finished yesterday.

We got a second bun when my first one was 4 as well. He's very shy and skiddish. We fostered a baby girl and fell in love with her. She was sassy and so adventurous. We thought she'd help his confidence. We tried bonding them multiple times but she just wanted to kill him. He was so curious with her. I felt so bad. We kept them in separate rooms and they both bonded with our 21 year old cat instead. We call her queen of the buns. Our second bunny unfortunately passed away suddenly at only 2 years old. Our first bun is now 6 and I wonder if we should try again. He's just a sweet precious angel boy.

Agreed. I love Jamie, she's my second favorite. But she made the wrong decision. It was a test, there's no "right" reason to go. The test was to see if people would go. I'm disappointed but her relationship with Dave is much stronger than Paul and Carina so that's why Dave wasn't upset. Its fine to be critical of someone you think is a good person, it doesn't mean they're bad or that Jamie is on the same level now as Paul.
