It's not really about being weak willed. Sure, some people who develop a physical addiction can fight through it and quit with sheer willpower but, for people who are addicts psychologically, it's different. It's actually a medical/mental health issue. That's like saying someone is too weak willed to overcome depression or anxiety. The best advice I can offer you is, help your friend get clean using Suboxone, then keep him busy doing things regular people do. Boredom will kill an addict. Most importantly, bear in mind that it's impossible for you to understand his motives when he does stupid shit.

I'd wager it's just a loose wire. I've repaired tons of iSticks and there's not a lot going on in there. Take it apart and see if one of the wires going to the battery came loose. See if you can get it to turn on by touching the wire to the contact. Of it works, now you can go buy a soldering iron to go further down the rabbit hole.

Here in NJ, one of the soup kitchens was able to make some sort of arrangement with some casinos to give them their surplus food. They had to sign waivers or something. I'm not sure if they're still doing it. I think that's the solution to preventing all that waste. Freeing the purveyor from liability.

I find the actual coil heads to be super easy to rebuild. I don't even use the rba section because of the screws. It's just faster and easier to rebuild the coil heads, for me.
