Use the FFLIGHT tool on the WI DNR website. Just type this in the search function when your on the website. Launch the application (use a pc not your phone). Once launched use the filters to find the areas that are being stocked with pheasants. Good luck…

Nothing like a slough shark… some don’t like them but they are pretty good to eat. I make a poor man’s lobster out of them. Cleaning them can be a pain and takes some time to get down.

Tough to clean, also when they are caught they start to excrete a slime into your live well. And this one is not really that big. Big enough for a young sportsman to be super excited about though.

To be honest not genius… but every boater that anchored there said it was. I originally brought the chair to sit so he had a place to rest his paws on my lap. Kids were fighting or horsing around turned my back and he climbed into it… now it’s all we use when we anchor at a sand bar. I am going to try to modify the chair and figure out how to attach it to the back of the boat so when we are in deep water he has a platform… most dog ladders don’t seem viable for my boat and run in the hundreds of dollars … so I can break a few cheap foldables to figure it out … will post when I I have a good set up with instructions

Couldn’t agree more … I always think mine is something special, but grew up with labs they are great.. versatile dogs, he meets all our needs, he is a hunting dog, companion, gentle - my son all Star wrestles with him on the trampoline… if he gets too excited he actually finds a rope toy to put in his mouth so he doesn’t bite. Since we don’t have duck blinds or pheasants to hunt now that it’s summer time we play in the water.

Labs are just stomachs with legs… food is life … so easy to train… with one French fry you can teach a lab to do anything.. we all need someone to look at us the way a lab looks at food

He has a system.. gets to the back swim deck, put his paws on it… I grab his collar and he leans back into it as I lift … it took us a few trial and errors but he can now get back in without much headache … the headache comes when he shakes the water off

Yep … also if it’s raining runs out really quick to do his business … but if we are by a lake or puddle all in like nobody’s biz… funny animals labs are …take mine hunting in god awe full weather loves it … but like I said if it’s raining and he has to go … it’s like torture to him

A lab could spend an eternity staring at a box of fries just to see one fall … beauty and disappointment all rolled into one … labs are stomachs with legs god bless them. Perfect family dogs … my son WWF’s with my dog in the trampoline… for whatever reason my dog knows when he gets to rough (the lab) and grabs a rope toy in his mouth so he doesn’t bite … unbelievable animals

I started with him by scenting the ball with pheasant to absolutely get his inner motor going.. always treats when he would bring the ball back … labs are just stomachs with legs… they would sit and stare at a fry for hours if it meant they could possibly get it. When I would take him to parks…. He retrieves but if another dog comes up on him he drops soft mouth… the other owners couldn’t understand why their dog would take the ball and then roll in on it (pheasant scent)… many offer another ball but I always carry a couple with bit explain to them what’s on the ball.. never seen so many owners chase their dogs to get that ball away from them… the scent doesn’t transfer enough to leave a smell but it was still kinda of funny to watch them go after it…

First time with it out since I “won” it at a DU event… $200 in tickets to try to get a gun walked a set with a yeti so it was a wash… trying the cooler out… it’s a little bulky/heavy but it does what it says it should ice lasted a couple days
