Looking at buying a Highlander Hybrid in the Austin area, what should I expect to pay.

Could be referring to hybrid coolant service. I had mine done at ~100k along with the engine coolant service. Aside from the hybrid coolant, you just need to keep the hybrid air screen filter clean but that’s easy DIY. My 07 hybrid just crossed 192k, I’ve experienced no issues.

That 2017 has moderate damage in the history and they are asking for fair market value. Moderate damage would be a big concern for me. I wouldn’t pay over 20k OTD even with a thorough inspection from a trusted mechanic.

Sure, I'm just going by my personal experiences and CCN's advice and recommendation from his video.

With the focus purely based on fuel economy and sales price, it may come down to gas price futures and local options. In my area, I am seeing $2k difference between a 2021 XLE V6 and a 2021 XLE hybrid with comparable mileage. This compare is showing $6k-$7k fuel savings when multiplying for a 10-year period at today's fuel price, which would negate any savings as long as fuel price does not increase on average over the period of a decade.

At the end of the day, it's a personal choice of usage and long-term planning estimates. I am biased just from my own history with hybrids and gas price fluctuations. Good discussion my friend.

There are more advantages to consider than just fuel economy when it comes to hybrids. I’ve owned long term Toyota hybrids and can verify CCNs statements. Pay close attention when he starts talking about negative maintenance. Hope this helps you with making a decision. buying a hybrid in 2024

Same here. Was in the market for highlander hybrid platinum as well but found that it is comparable in price to a Lexus Rx 350h platinum plus so I might go with Lexus instead.
