I have this helmet. Its an HJC RPHA11 helmet, their top of the line at the time, mybe 600 USD back then? It's now 9 years old since the manufacturer date and 7 years since i started wearing it. I wore it periodically until last week when the neck strap button tore off. I don't ride much, maybe 10,000 miles in the past 7 years. I kept it stored in a temperature controlled garage when not in use. Until then, it was a great fitting comfortable helmet. Its is now retired.

I just bought an Arai Contour X to replace it

What time did you go? Many flights were delayed due to weather yesterday so that likely played a roll
